I’m an athlete, a coach, a nutrition nut, a female force and a fitness personality. I have a genuine love and passion for fitness and the lifestyle I choose to live, and I wake up every day looking to spread positivity and rays of energy to those around me.
I am a daughter, a big sister, a girlfriend, and a friend. I stand tall and proud knowing that I am a role model to those around me and I thrive off of empowerment, knowing that together we can encourage each other to be the best we can be! I believe that there are no limits, and that each of us are born with the power to achieve our dreams. Be strong, stay positive and THINK BIG.
What excites me most is the opportunity to educate, motivate, and help you nourish, nurture and love your body so you can live a happy and fulfilling life. My goal is to help you go beyond your own limits and to redirect excuses, justifications, immediate gratifications, and distractions. I will guide and teach you to embrace the elements of your character and life and use them to your advantage.
How I Came to Do What I Love
After graduating university, I had no idea what I wanted to do. I was lost trying to find a career that suited my personality, values, and lifestyle. It was then that one of my best friends gave me the most inspirational pep talk and told me to chase what I love. At that moment, I knew three things:
- I thrived on living a happy and healthy lifestyle
- I wanted a career where I could educate and empower women
- Fitness was (and is) my feel good, my haven, my passion
At that point, I became a personal trainer at GoodLife Fitness and it was the best decision I ever made. I love being in the gym surrounded by people who share my values, passion, lifestyle, and who want to be better human beings. This was my first step to building my own business and community with All Day Fit. No matter what kind of day I’m having, I always leave work feeling happy and fulfilled, with the same smile on my face that I woke up with in the morning.
Every I get to make a difference in people’s lives. The lifestyle I choose and the people I surround myself with, allows me to reach my maximum potential and to be fully present to motivate, encourage, and educate others. It has become my life’s mission and daily intent to spread happiness and health, starting with myself, by living this way every day.
I believe we must lift with purpose and power; and not just simply go through the motions. I am committed to a relentless focus on form and function to ensure safe healthy workouts for each of my clients. I give direct attention to each client to provide individualized instruction throughout each training session and class.
My belief system stems from what you eat today, is what you become tomorrow. Food is more than calories. Food is information. It contains instructions that affect every biological function of your body. Fuel it properly!
If you want to experience greatness in your life, surround yourself with great people. Choose your company wisely. Be selective with where your energy goes, surround yourself with those who bring out the best in you; the ones who enhance you, rather than drain you. Spend time with those you love; including family, partners or friends. In turn, it is important you show them how much they mean to you. Love and respect leads to quality relationships, which are the only ones worth having. Positive relationships with others fulfil two basic needs – social connectedness, and personal growth; the two basic needs essential for making us feel fully alive.
Practice self-care, plan “me time” or as I like to say, “I’m taking a Cassie day” (pun intended). Schedule time to pursue your passions, do the things you enjoy, relax or even do nothing at all. “Me” time allows us to de-stress, unwind and rejuvenate. Recognize, nonjudgmentally, when your body and mind are asking for this. Taking time for yourself allows you to renew, heal, and create reserves of energy and happiness.
There is no greater feeling than having your bags packed and knowing you’re ready to go on your next adventure. There are few things in life that will impact you as much as traveling. My passport has changed my worldview. It has instilled in me compassion and a deep understanding of cultures and societies that differ from my own; people, religions, customs, traditions and lifestyles. It has opened up my mind and soul to a world of discovery, adventure, acceptance and knowledge. Go engage in new activities in a new place, in a new environment, with individuals and groups of people outside your typical realm.
Do something everyday that pushes you out of your comfort zone. As you grow on a personal level, you instinctively begin to feel more passionate about life. You are naturally more motivated, because learning and growing add motivation and a sense of excitement to your day. Personal growth and development provides us with both the incentive and the means to become the best possible version of ourselves. As our world expands, so does our awareness of the possibilities and opportunities around us.
People often ask me “How are you always happy?”
True and lasting happiness is found first within yourself. You must learn to appreciate what you have, embrace the present moment, and love fully; this is happiness.
Happiness to me is my health, my family, my relationships, meaningful work I engage in and surround myself with, positive thinking, gratitude, and the ability to forgive. Real happiness is compassion for yourself. It’s the realization that deep within you, you have the ability and strength to handle any situation that comes your way. Happiness is more than the, “Wow this is amazing,” kind of feeling, or where or when everything is easy. Happiness is a deeper sense of connectedness—to yourself, to others, and to life. Your life now – made up of a series of moments, events, and interactions. Live mindfully and intentionally in the present moment, and as a result, I promise you that you will experience a fulfillment of joy and happiness.
